Step by Step
Step 1: Photos
You send me your photos and ideas
Step 2: Design
We discuss which photos to use in the design (What photos will work best for painting, composition, other elements to add, etc.).
Step 3: Mock-up
I send you a mock-up of the design.
Step 4: Down payment
You pay a deposit (50%).
Step 5: Creation
I paint! Commissions are (now) painted with oil paint on canvas.* Receive optional updates on the painting as it’s being completed. I accept minor adjustments during this process to ensure that you are completely satisfied.**
Step 6: Final Payment
You pay the remaining balance.
Step 7: Delivery
I ship your new painting! Original oil paintings are wrapped in a layer of acid-free paper, then packed securely for shipping. Local drop-off (Pittsburgh, PA) is also available.
*Other substrate/surface (e.g. wood panels) can be used on request.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take?
About a month after the design is agreed upon. I paint, send you updates, and make minor adjustments if needed. Then drying time, varnish, more drying, and finally shipping.
Can I have more than one pet/human/figure in the same painting?
Of course! The price is adjusted based on the size and complexity of the project, which we will both agree to before work begins.
How does payment work?
I will email you an invoice for the 50% deposit. It will include a payment link for you to pay online via credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, as well as ‘Buy now, pay later’ options. Once the painting is complete, I will invoice the remaining balance using the same procedure as before. Final payment must be made before the painting can be shipped out to you.
